JLG CELEBRATES WITH FIRST WINNER OF “CREWS ACROSS AMERICA” SWEEPSTAKES

Thursday, April 4, 2019

McConnellsburg, Pa. — April 4, 2019 — JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and  telehandlers, has announced the Minnesota Twins, LLC, maintenance crew as its first winner of the  JLG® “Crews Across America” sweepstakes. The organization was chosen among hundreds of qualified entries from crews who entered the contest since its kickoff January 1st.

“The visit and recognition from JLG was quite an honor and surprise for our maintenance team,” said Ryan Rikkola, maintenance engineer, Minnesota Twins, LLC. “I saw the sweepstakes as an opportunity to recognize our team for their hard work and as a chance to talk with JLG about the equipment we use to maintain our complex.”

Rikkola and the Minnesota Twins maintenance team regularly use JLG equipment to keep the stadium and surrounding grounds “fan ready.” During a recent visit, several JLG scissor lifts and a JLG 860SJ boom lift were busy putting the final touches on winter projects just days before the season opener at Target Field, the one-million-square-foot home of the Minnesota Twins baseball club.

“We have year-round systemic projects and every-day maintenance needs that require the use of access equipment like boom and scissor lifts, as well as low-level access products,” added Rikkola. “From the moment our last home game is played until opening day each season, our team is busy. And we need equipment that can sustain long hours, operate through challenging winter temperatures, and allow us to work safely at height.”

“As a company driven by customer inspired innovation, it was both an honor and a privilege to recognize this crew and learn why they choose JLG aerial work platforms to keep their stadium in immaculate condition,” said Jennifer Stiansen, director of marketing for JLG. “This sweepstakes is designed to celebrate the hardworking crews who build and maintain our country’s infrastructure.”

Two crews are being selected monthly through December, for a total of 24 winners. All members selected for recognition will receive great giveaways, including hats, t-shirts and other JLG branded gifts, with one winning crew each month receiving an onsite catered lunch hosted by JLG team members. Additionally, winners will be recognized through JLG’s social media channels, where their stories can be tracked by following #CrewsAcrossAmerica.

Nominations for “Crews Across America” can be entered online at www.choosejlg.com. The site features details for entry and includes a “Crew Tracker” map to follow where crews are being recognized across the United States.
