The operator of an aerial lift must not accept operating responsibility until they are properly trained.

Training includes reading and understanding the manufacturer’s operator manual as a first step. You can work safer by following protocols before and while using equipment, such as setting outriggers, brakes and wheel chocks and not exceeding load limits.
