Hoofddorp, The Netherlands (April 16, 2012) — JLG Industries (JLG Europe BV), an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE: OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, will showcase a representative lineup of its extensive model range at the Intermat Show in Paris, France.
Product ranges will be represented as follows:
JLG will premiere its new range of Powershift telehandlers to the world. At the JLG booth two of the in total four new models can be viewed. The new range feature standard 4-speed Powershift transmission and are equipped with a Tier IIIb compliant Deutz 75kW engine and is equipped with comprehensive features -such as a reversible engine fan- . The new range of handlers can be tailored for specific work purposes thanks to a wide variety in tools and attachments. The 3706 and 3707 have a lift capacity of 3.7 tons with either 6.1m or 7.3m maximum lift height. The two larger models, the 4014 and 4017 have a lift capacity of 4.0 tons and a maximum lift height of 14 m or 17.3m. These models are equipped standard with stabilizers.
JLG will display its compact range of telehandlers, represented by the L2906H. The compact range is equipped with a dependable Stage IIIa Deutz engine that delivers 101 hp (74.9kW). Combined with high-torque hydrostatic transmission, the terrainability the JLG compact telehandlers is unmatched. Even in extreme rough terrain situations, the limited-slip differential feature on the front axle further enhances traction.
The 2505 Super Compact completes the range. With a basic all-up weight of less than 5t, the 2505 is powered by an 84hp (62.6kW) Perkins 1104.4 turbo-diesel engine, driving through a hydrostatic transmission to give four-wheel drive and steer.
The aerial work platform selection that JLG will bring to Intermat 2012 includes the 1500SJ, the first straight boom lift that elevates operators to 45.72m and requires only a weight permit for transport. The telescoping jib, which can extend up to 7.62m, provides work envelope flexibility and exceptional horizontal and vertical reach. As with all JLG Ultra Booms, the 1500SJ delivers dual 450kg/230kg capacity and three steering modes, and offers excellent terrain ability and features systems, such as an LCD display communicating machine functions to assist operators in positioning the platform. The Ultra Boom range is also represented with an articulating model, the 1250AJP.
Unveiled as a prototype at SAIE, Italy in October 2010, the highly compact 340AJ boom lift offers a working height of 12.35m with a horizontal outreach of 6.07m, meeting the demand for a broad range of applications. The jib extends to 1.2m with near vertical operation. And when ground conditions get tough, proper off-road performance is ensured by the standard oscillating axle and 4WD. With a ground clearance of 25cms, the 340AJ can cope with grades and break-over angles up to 45 degrees allowing it to drive on slopes and up ramps.
JLG will exhibit the diesel-powered model 510AJ boom lift with a working height of 17.81m. The 510AJ – is specifically designed and produced for the European market, providing high level access with a spacious work platform. The machine is designed for use in confined locations and can be set up and re-positioned quickly in narrow, compact spaces. Other work can carry on around them relatively undisturbed due to low sound levels while operating.
With working heights ranging from 14m to 23m, the five JLG Compact Crawler Booms feature a tracked wheel carriage and a narrow chassis for access through gates, yards, standard doorways and public buildings. The low weight units deliver an environmentally- friendly electric and combustion combination power for efficient energy use.
The JLG Toucan 8E is the latest addition to the electrically-driven range of JLG vertical mast lifts known as the Toucan series, a series of vertical mast lifts with a durable appearance, designed to perform and delivering efficiency. For the ultimate in quiet operation, the JLG Toucan 8E features direct electric drive. These brushless motors provide ease of control, a smoother but responsive operation, and zero emissions. Long-lasting 24V/180A batteries with a shorter charging time keep it up and running to ensure that the job gets done.
The environmentally-friendly M-series are presented as a green alternative on the jobsite. This range of products can be operated electrically. The Multi-Power option enables round-the-clock operation and faster battery charging with the JLG® QuikCharge GenSet Charging System, which significantly reduces emissions and noise.
Scissor lifts will be represented by a diesel-operated Liftlux™ 245-25 model. The Liftlux model range, a high-reach solution, is well-known for their extremely rigid and stable triple-arm scissor, providing the operator a comfortable work environment, even when the lift is elevated at full height. Because of the 500 kg platform capacity and a large roll-out deck that extends the platform to an impressive 5.40 m, it’s an ideal solution for use around jobsites when heavy units have to be installed at great height overhead.
JLG ES electric scissor lifts are renowned for their efficient electric drive system that delivers industry-leading duty cycles. Enabling the operator to stay both productive and comfortable, it has an extendable deck for increased workspace, standard fold-down hand rails for access through doorways, a pothole protection system that provides additional support for the lift in the unlikely event a wheel is driven into a hole, and a platform with non-skid strips for more grip.
The enhanced E300 series electric articulating boom lifts, first appearing at Bauma 2010, is equipped with renewed hydraulics, an efficient drive system that delivers industry leading battery performance, and additional features that make work safer and more efficient. The duty cycles of the batteries have improved significantly thanks to new rechargeable batteries. Despite the smaller size (305 a/h) and capacity, a 20 percent longer duty cycle can be achieved, as well as significantly reduced battery costs. Further cost-efficient improvements to the E300 include a different charging unit that recharges drained batteries in less time, getting you back on the job sooner.
For lower level access work, the 1230ES completes the vertical mast segment. Designed to be used in confined or weight-restricted applications, JLG’s “ultra-compact” electric mast lift model 1230ES, with a platform height of 3.66m, provides convenient access for routine interior repair and maintenance work. The 1230ES is easily transportable on a trailer or light truck, can fit through narrow doorways and inside most industrial elevators, or can be lifted by crane to elevated work areas. It features compact dimensions of 1.36m long by 0.76m wide and a stowed height of just 1.66m.
With its compact size, joystick controls and a zero turning radius, the versatile 10MSP stock picker provides the manoeuvrability and positioning needed for confined spaces. Through doorways, down narrow aisles and all around busy work environments, they’ll go places even a ladder can’t reach. Plus, with a family of platforms, MSP stock pickers can be configured to your specific stock picking requirements and other maintenance needs.
