Lower total cost of ownership for JLG® boom lifts
Mandatory wire rope and sheave replacement intervals have been extended from 8 to 12 years, provided the total number of machine hours does not exceed 7,000*. For select machines, this means a significant savings for fleet owners, as a typical wire replacement job can cost anywhere from $2,000 to $7,000.
Over the typical life cycle of a machine, this means more uptime and a potentially higher resale value when owners replenish their fleets.
To receive the maximum return on this change, keep the following in mind:
- The new wire rope replacement interval is 12 years, or 7,000 machine hours.
- The affected JLG boom lift models are 600S, 600SJ, 600SC, 600SJC, 601S, 660SJ, 660SJC, 680S, 800S, 810SJ, 860SJ, 1200SJP, 1350SJP, 1500SJ and 1850SJ.
