JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, will showcase a variety of lift equipment, including LiftPod® personal portable lifts, compact crawler booms and vertical lifts, at booth 782 during the
International Facility Management Association (IFMA) World Workplace 2012 Conference & Expo, October 31 - November 2, 2012, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
LiftPod combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform, providing facility professionals with a productive, affordable and portable option when working at a variety of heights. Show attendees will see the
FS60 and
FS80 models, which offer a complete, hands-free 360-degree range of motion in a stable and enclosed platform at working heights of 12 feet (FS60) or as high as 14 feet (FS80).
In addition, each model is lightweight and can easily be moved by one person. Because both models consist of just three lightweight components, each weighing around 50 pounds, they can be assembled and disassembled in less than 30 seconds. With an attachable work tray that holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials, the LiftPod has a 330-pound rated capacity. Once disassembled, the LiftPod can fit in the back of most pick-up trucks, vans or SUVs for extra convenience when moving between work sites. The LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt cordless drill or an optional Power Pack Kit for ease of elevation.
Also on display, the JLG®
Compact Crawler Boom offers working heights ranging from 45 to 76 feet. The machine features a tracked wheel carriage that climbs steps and a narrow chassis for access through gates, yards, standard doorways and public buildings. Low weight and rubber tracks enhance maneuverability and combine with a compact design to make transport easier.
Visitors to the JLG booth will also see the
20MVL vertical mast lift, which features five platform options with exclusive “Quick Change” mountings for one-minute change-outs. The JLG Point & Go® control system uses a single joystick control for smoother drive and lift functions, including a zero turning radius, while a rigid, anodized mast ensures operator comfort and stability.
