McConnellsburg, Pa. (January 25, 2012) — JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, today announced that RER (Rental Equipment Register) magazine named the 1500SJ boom lift as the winner of its 2011 Innovative Product Awards in the Lifts category.
“Winning this award is an achievement that highlights JLG’s dedication to developing quality equipment that meets the unique needs of the rental industry,” said Jeff Ford, JLG Industries product director. “With its expansive reach and flexibility, the 1500SJ offers a large work area at elevated heights.”
The 1500SJ is the industry’s largest self-propelled telescopic boom lift that requires only a weight permit. As part of JLG’s line of Ultra Boom lifts, the 1500 SJ features three steering modes and exceptional terrainability. With the ability to handle dual 1,000/500 pound loads, the 1500SJ provides immediate access to work at elevated heights by lifting operators 150 feet. A 25-foot telescoping jib provides even more horizontal and vertical reach.
Since its inception in 2003, RER’s annual Innovative Product Awards competition has formally recognized achievements in new product development in the equipment rental industry. Industry experts serve as judges, and review products in 13 categories. This year’s competition highlighted cutting-edge products that were introduced between Aug. 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011. The 1500SJ, along with other category winners, are featured in the December issue of RER magazine.
