McConnellsburg, Pa. (May 9, 2011) —
JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK], will demonstrate its line of
LiftPod® personal portable lifts at JLG booth #2047 at the
American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce2011), which will be held May 16–18, 2011, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Ore.
LiftPod’s two models, the FS60 and FS80, will be prominently displayed at the JLG booth. Both models combine the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform, and can be carried and moved by one person. In addition, the two models allow workers to move hands-free in a 360-degree range of motion. Once disassembled, the LiftPod can fit in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for extra convenience when moving between work sites. The LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt cordless drill or an optional Power Pack Kit for ease of elevation.
“We are pleased to showcase the
FS60 and
FS80 at AIHce2011, as it gives us the opportunity to introduce the LiftPod to key decision makers in the industrial hygiene and environmental health and safety fields,” said Randy Marzicola, JLG director channel development. “We are excited to demonstrate the LiftPod to attendees because we strongly believe it will benefit organizations across a variety of industries due to its portability, versatility and safety features, all at a low cost of ownership.”
The newest LiftPod, the FS60, has a 30-inch base to enable operators to move the LiftPod through doorways without having to take it apart. With a 12-foot working height and a 6-foot standing height, the FS60 has nonmarking rear caster wheels for enhanced mobility. The FS80 has a working height of 14 feet, and a 8-foot standing height. Both models have three lightweight components, each weighing about 50 pounds, for simple assembly and disassembly in less than 30 seconds. With an attachable work tray that holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials, the LiftPod has a 330-pound rated capacity.
AIHce is a key industry event for environmental health and safety professionals. More than 5,000 industrial hygiene and safety experts are expected to attend the conference and tradeshow, which is designed to enhance knowledge on key industry topics. Over the course of six days, more than 700 courses, sessions, lectures, workshops and discussions are scheduled to take place.
