Maasmechelen, Belgium (August 08, 2011), - JLG Industries Inc, an Oshkosh Corporation company (NYSE: OSK), has received its first 1500SJ boom lift in Maasmechelen. Unveiled at CONEXPO-CON/AGG held in Las Vegas earlier this year, the industry’s largest telescopic boom lift – the JLG 1500 SJ – has now landed in Europe.

Upon the arrival of the 1500SJ at the JLG facility in Maasmechelen, Mr. Roger Orton – JLG’s Field Training Manager - conducted training on service and maintenance requirements for JLG’s technical managers. For the duration of the course the participants enjoyed the opportunity to familiarise themselves with this new and largest Ultraboom product. JLG service and technical managers are qualified and experienced engineers, supporting distributors and customers with any technical query on JLG products and keeping JLG equipment at a maximum level of uptime. 

The 1500SJ is the first straight boom lift that elevates operators to 45.72m requiring only a weight permit for transport. The telescoping jib, which can extend up to 7.62m, provides work envelope flexibility and exceptional horizontal and vertical reach. As with all JLG Ultra Booms, the 1500SJ delivers dual 450kg/230kg capacity, three steering modes, and offers excellent terrain ability and features systems, such as an LCD display that communicates machine functions, to assist operators when positioning the platform.
