Technician Fundamentals
Service Training
Who Should Attend This Course?
This course is designed for the JLG AWP and Telehandler service technician who will be servicing and repairing JLG equipment. The technicians should have a minimum of 4 months' AWP/Telehandler experience and have completed the Basic Hydraulic and Electrical Courses.
Important Note: The Technician Fundamentals Course does not qualify an individual to perform any machine maintenance or machine inspections.
Course Objectives
The objectives of the Technician Fundamentals course are to provide the opportunity for new service technicians to learn and understand hydraulic and electrical schematic symbols; how to read and interpret schematics; how to properly pressure check the hydraulic system; how to properly utilize a Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM); and to be introduced to the JLG Analyzer in conjunction with the ADE System. This will be accomplished through classroom and hands-on exercises.
Materials
Includes the JLG Service Training Manual plus a complete set of releveant hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Administration
This course runs three days, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily beginning on Tuesday and concluding on Thursday. Early departures will not be awarded a certificate. Lunch will be provided for students at JLG Training Centers.
Tuition
Tuition is $399 per student for the three-day course at JLG Training Centers.
Dates & Locations
For training at a JLG Training Center, JLG will provide shuttle service to and from the recommended hotel. Students should be in the lobby of the hotel for a 7:30 a.m. departure on each day of the class.
