Safety Information
Your safety is very important to JLG, which is a big part of why we put such a high priority on product reliability. Please review this important safety, product and training information relating to the ownership, management, servicing and use of JLG products.
For safety guidelines pertaining to the use and operation of any JLG product, refer to the appropriate Operators & Safety manual for the specific model. For periodic machine inspections and maintenance required by JLG, refer to the appropriate Operators & Safety manual in conjunction with the appropriate Service & Maintenance manual for the specific model. For any questions regarding use, safety guidelines or periodic machine inspection and maintenance, contact JLG Industries, Inc.
Product Safety and Reliability Forms
Inspections
Required inspections are outlined in both the appropriate JLG Operators & Safety manual and Service & Maintenance manual. These inspections are required not only by JLG, but may also be required by industry standards and government regulations. Please contact the JLG Warranty Department for the correct forms to use while completing the inspections.
General Safety Inquiries
Inquiries regarding standards compliance, design criteria or overall machine safety should be directed to the JLG Product Safety & Reliability Department. A written request must be submitted in cases where a written response is required. Each request must include all pertinent information (e.g., contact name, telephone number, address, etc.). The Product Safety & Reliability Department will evaluate each inquiry and submit an appropriate written response to the originator.
Product Incident Reporting
The JLG Product Safety & Reliability Department must be notified immediately in all instances where JLG products have been involved in an accident leading to personal injury or death, or when substantial property damage has occurred.
In order to ensure that your equipment continues to perform at peak levels, it’s important that you maintain your equipment and refrain from making modifications that aren’t approved by JLG. Modifying a JLG product without the written permission of JLG Industries Inc. is a safety concern, and may be a violation of government regulations and industry standards. To find out how to apply for modification approvals, please read and complete the Application Approval form.
If you recently sold or acquired a JLG product, please provide us with the current owner information. You can do so by printing the JLG Owner Update Form (23 KB PDF) and sending it to us.
