Spanish Train-the-Trainer
Safety Training

The Spanish Train-the-Trainer Course was designed by JLG to help our customers provide AWP and Telehandler operator training to the ever-growing Spanish-speaking workforce.  This is the fastest growing demographic in North America expected to exceed one-fourth of all construction workers this decade.
The course has all the elements of our Train-the-Trainer course, but differs in a few ways.  It is not a direct translation, all materials and methods are designed to teach in the culture.  All terms and examples are created with native speaking translations and proper technical terms.

Who Should Take This Course?
All companies who employ Spanish speaking personnel or train Spanish-speaking workers should have their bi-lingual and native Spanish speaking training personnel take this course.

• Improve your public relations by showing effort to address the Spanish-speaking community
• Improve customer satisfaction by offering training for increased productivity and proper machine operation
• Develop more qualified trainers
• Reduce potential litigation through improved safety legislation
• Develop a competitive advantage – many of these operators will someday become supervisors

Content
•  ANSI and OSHA Regulations
•  Operation and Safety Manuals
•  Stability and Capacity Charts
•  Hands-on Operation
•  Required Inspections
•  Worksite Hazard Assessments
•  Training Preparation and Planning

Materials
Spanish language AWP and Telehandler kits are given to each student, identifying step-by-step procedures to facilitate training up to ten operators at one time. These kits contain the following supporting materials: Instructor's Guide, Student Workbooks, DVD Videos, Evaluation Tests and includes a CD-ROM with digital masters for reprint. Students who have their own approved fall protection are encouraged to bring them to the course; this will help expedite the hands-on segment of the training. If you do not have approved fall protection equipment, JLG will supply one to use during the class.

Administration
This course runs three days, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily beginning on Tuesday and concluding on Thursday. Early departures will not be awarded a certificate. Beverages and lunch is provided for students at JLG Training Centers.

Tuition
Tuition is $395 per student for the three-day course at JLG Training Centers.
