Service Training
Who Should Attend This Course?
This course is for the JLG AWP service technician who will be servicing and repairing the dual fuel GM 3.0 L engine. The technicians should have a minimum of 3 years' AWP service experience; have completed a JLG Basic Electrical Course, Technician Fundamentals Course and a JLG machine specific course that covers the ADE and CANbus systems; and have a thorough working knowledge of how to properly use a Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM).
Course Objectives
The objective of the GM Engine course is to provide the opportunity for new service technicians to learn and understand how the GM engine functions electrically and interfaces with the JLG machine's electrical and ADE systems. Troubleshooting dual fuel system (gasoline/LP) problems will be taught through discussions on how the system components function and by utilizing the diagnostic service tools to obtain fault codes and utilizing the proper flowcharts to diagnose the problems and repair the machine. This will be accomplished through classroom and hands-on exercises.

Materials
Includes the JLG Service Training Manual plus a complete set of relevant hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Administration
This course runs three days, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily beginning on Tuesday and concluding on Thursday. Early departures will not be awarded a certificate. Lunch will be provided for students at JLG Training Centers.
Tuition
Tuition is $399 per student for the three-day course at JLG Training Centers.
Dates and Locations
For training at a JLG Training Center, JLG will provide shuttle service to and from the recommended hotel. Students should be in the lobby of the hotel for a 7:30 a.m. departure on each day of the course.
