GM Engine Service Training
Who Should Attend This Course? This course is for the JLG AWP service technician who will be servicing and repairing the dual fuel GM 3.0 L engine. The technicians should have a minimum of 3 years' AWP service experience; have completed a JLG Basic Electrical Course, Technician Fundamentals Course and a JLG machine specific course that covers the ADE and CANbus systems; and have a thorough working knowledge of how to properly use a Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM).
Course Objectives The objective of the GM Engine course is to provide the opportunity for new service technicians to learn and understand how the GM engine functions electrically and interfaces with the JLG machine's electrical and ADE systems. Troubleshooting dual fuel system (gasoline/LP) problems will be taught through discussions on how the system components function and by utilizing the diagnostic service tools to obtain fault codes and utilizing the proper flowcharts to diagnose the problems and repair the machine. This will be accomplished through classroom and hands-on exercises.
Models Covered 3394RT, 4394RT, 400S, 450A/AJ Series II, 600S, 600A/AJ, 800S, 800A/AJ
At this time there are no factory courses scheduled for 2010 at any of the JLG Training Centers. However, if there is a demand, we reserve the right to schedule a course on an as-needed basis. If you want to attend a course, please contact JLG Training to be put on a training request list. When we have at least eight names on the list, we will schedule a course and contact each individual on the list with the scheduled date and location. If you would like to hold a GM Engine course at your location and have at least eight individuals to attend, please contact JLG Training for a quote and to reserve a training date.
Materials Includes the JLG Service Training Manual plus a complete set of relevant hydraulic and electrical schematics.
