Operator Training
Who Should Take this Course?
Customers who want to prepare their personnel with the training necessary to take the test for the Powered Access License from Aerial Work Platform Training, Inc.
Platform operator training now has an international standard:
ISO 18878:2004 Mobile Elevating Work Platforms – Operator (Driver) Training
The PAL Card (Powered Access License - Registration Card) is proof of training to the ISO Standard. This card is recognized and accepted by industries and regulatory authorities nationally and internationally. The PAL Card is only issued to personnel who have successfully completed AWPT Training. The JLG Training Center is an approved AWPT Training Center.
This course does not qualify anyone to teach operator safety courses.
This course is for operators only.
Content
Qualifies the Operator in the safe operation of JLG Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Vertical Mast Products in accordance with ISO 18878:2004 Mobile Elevating Work Platforms – Operator (Driver) Training and the ANSI regulations.
Materials
Includes Operator Workbook and various handouts.
Administration
This course will last four to seven hours, depending on the number of students and their level of experience. This course normally runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Early departures will not be awarded a certificate. Lunch is provided for students at JLG Training Centers.
Location
This course may be held at customer locations or at the dedicated JLG Training Center.
